So we getting some waves! And on top of that its school holidays. Surf time! 

Looong weekend

Long weekend has never felt so long! I went on a rugby coaching course this weekend! Was quite a long hard and loud weekend. Very frustrating to say the least!

I did the masters course with Eric Sauls. Hope to have a successful tournament this week!

Lines

Read an article about localism the other day. Needless to say I am totally for it. With all the foreigners (Not only from abroad but also every Cape Town bloke who owns a board) who pull in when they see a swell on the charts, localism is an absolute necessity!

So big ups for the guys from the JBU for protecting our waves!

They don't only keep order in the water, but also help to look after the boardwalks and the condition of our local beaches and parks!

We went golfing on Saturday

Saturday was quite the sporty day. Early morning surf, then drove to Hankey to play golf and later watched the Springboks play. All in a days play! Life is good

Looking back

Been a litlle flu-y (if the word exists) lately. Could have scored some waves yesterday, but I decided to get to bed early. Fell asleep on the couch after watching our local soapy called 7de laan.

First signs of some waves

Yesterday was my first afternoon "off"! Although I have lots of work left, I just couldn't ignore the call from the ocean! The waves were on! Surfed from 13 30 to about 16:30, had some banana bread and a sip of water, and headed back out at 17: 00 till dark!

Had such an amazing time!

Almost winter

1. On the way to school this morning I stopped to look for some swell, we have a small network of people keeping each other updated on the swell. Didnt have enough time to wait for a real bomb, but the scenery was pretty amazing

2. Im sitting in class (should be marking tests) while I'm seeing waves in the far! Very privelaged to be living the life I am! All the praise to the Lord for this wonderful creation!

Man it's getting dark

Introducing Deon, frontman from the local band Glaskas and Dans Dans Lisa.
We went in search of some waves which ended up in a great fail. Only had about four waves between the two of us! Still I must say that we are fortunate to be able to just sit out there! Could have been sitting in traffic I suppose!

Not Indo yet..

Well its not Indo yet, but it's a pretty darn good place to live! Blessed man I am! And so thankfull to the Lord!
 My Bible verse said the other day that the Lord even looks after the mossies and they aint even worth two cents, how well will he not look after us

Garthie and Stella from Taiwan

Yesterday Garth and Stella visited me all the way from Taiwan!
It was quite cold, so they couldnt really have a beach day! We went out for supper, and had the Cafe Kima Wednesday night special. Pasta half price! We could barely get through half of our meals!

Finally- Watched a shop at Potter's place

So after wanting to watch a show at Potters Place for a couple of years now, I finally did.

We went to watch a band called Glaskas. We met the frontman of the band last year, and in December I played one song with them on stage at Jolly Dolphin. It was quite scary, and as the song started I played the wrong notes. It was fun though, Ive been a fan for years!

The show last night was low key but fun!

May already!

Wow it's May already! I got a fright when I had to write 02/05/2013 on the board the other day! Time is really flying!

Things are still going well at school, my rugby team is losing close matches this year, where last year we were on the winning side of them. But all is well that ends well, and I'm still very happy in Jbay! I'm hoping that the government speed up things so that we can eventually get appointed by them! I really need to buy a new car haha. Please Department of Education  :)

Trying to save my car a bit I bought a scooter for traveling back and forth. Towns quite small and if it wasn't for the poor state of the roads, I would say that Jbay is ideal for having a scooter. It's been pretty cold driving to school in the mornings, but nothing that an extra jacket or two cant fix-yet!

Lazy

Lazy or busy? Maybe a bit of both? Lifes been good in Jbay! Busy or not. Maybe a shift of focus would help. Waves have also been good. Been having more 'surf' days than 'lay' days! So who's complaining?  Need to get back to my blog. ? Not? Cameras been lacking. Got the old little red one to work again. Its nearly the end of Feb! Havnt posted anything in a while! Such a pity as lifes been so good!
